Manuel's Special Day

Ana: This is a day we have all long waited for. It was such a beautiful day! We were overwhelmed by the amount of support Manuel received. He has a wonderful ward family! It was the biggest turn out to a baptism I have ever seen. Over a hundred people were there to support this wonderful young man. He was baptized by his Uncle Joe, Confirmed by his Tio Marco and ordained to the Priesthood by his Uncle Al. His cousin Evelynne gave the talk on baptism, his Tia Ana gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. The Young women and his cousins sang "If The Savior Stood Beside Me" and his Cousin Jessica lead the music. The opening prayer was given by his Tia Roxana, and the closing prayer was given by his Tia Dani. Jessica also put together a slide show of Manuel. The spirit was present in abundance. I feel so blessed to have been a part of such a special day!!

Alan: Most people who are baptized simply make the decision to move forward and do it. For Manuel, it was truly a quest. It took a united effort in fasting and prayer by members of his immediate and extended families. I am grateful for the opportunity to exercise my faith in behalf of such a fine young man. And to witness his baptism and participate in his confirmation and ordination was a divine privilege. Buying him a razor so he can be clean-shaven as he passes the sacrament was just icing on the cake. It was wonderful to spend a few short days with everyone and see how the Lord has blessed this family.
