Feliz Cumpleanos Manuel!

Today is my nephew Manuel's birthday. He is 14 years old. He is my sister Ines's only child. He is a miracle child. After trying for years to conceive a baby they were blessed with this beautiful boy. In a family dominated by women he is a treasure! He is adored by his Abuelitas, Tias, Tios and cousins. He has been blessed with so many talents. He plays the piano, trombone, plays tennis, basketball and excels in school. His love for the gospel shines brightly! He is a good missionary to his friends, teachers and his father. In honor of his birthday I share this poem. Why God Made Little Boys God made a world out of his dreams, Of magic mountains, oceans, and streams

Prairies and plains and wooded land, Than paused and thought, "I need someone to stand On top of the mountains, to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees, Someone to start out small and grow sturdy, strong, like a tree and so... He created boys, full of spirit and fun, To explore and conquer, to romp and run, With dirty faces, banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When he completed the task He'd begun He surely said, "That's a job well done."
We appreciate the way you conduct your life and honor your parents. We hope you will always appreciate all you have. We hope you will live up to your great heritage and family name. God bless on your special day. We love you ! We wish you a wonderful day with your family, friends and all those who love you! From Tia Ana, Uncle Al, Sam and Ammon.
P.S. Do a little dancing for us!!!!!!!!!!! Party, Party, Party!!!!!!!!!!

The Train Ride

The train ride was not at all what we expected. The cabins were very small. The only reason I was able to sleep was because I had been up all night and I was exhausted! Alan will tell a different story. He was completely uncomfortable all night. Once the beds were set up there was very little room to move all around.
We did enjoy the wine and cheese reception in the dining car. The company was a lot of fun. We rode the train to Albany, New York. We made a few short stops along the way which was a good thing because we did get tired of sitting too long. Next time we go on the train we'll get bigger cabins. It was a fun adventure nonetheless!!
