I have so appreciated the beauty of the sky lately. Just thought I’d share it. Winter is fast approaching but I have enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. Something we don’t experience very often. It warms my heart and spirit. Fills my heart with gratitude for God and his creations.

My Crazy Life!
I’m the worse blogger on earth! If only I had more time…….but it’s an elusive thing in my life. :( So much has happened. My baby boy turned 15. Old enough to get his driving permit. However, I’m not quite ready for another 
heart attack experience!
Celebrated Monica’s 24th birthday and our 26th wedding anniversary. The girls treated us to dinner at a Brazilian grill in Provo. It was fabulous!
We dropped off our college boy at BYU. It was hard to say good-bye. To say he was excited is an understatement! 
Of course he couldn’t leave the state of North Dakota quietly. He had to make a splash with his farewell Youtube video.
We are down to one living at home and so far Sam finds that quite boring! You would think that I would have more time on my hands but not so. I often wonder how I did it with four. Sam is making sure I stay busy!
Sam is also working on the school play. All his activities and working two jobs whose has time for anything? I look forward to Saturdays but find they are just as busy as the weekdays.
On the bright side, we’ve had the most beautiful fall weather we’ve ever had here in North Dakota
However, since It’s taken a few days to finish this blog, we’ve already had our first blizzard (before Halloween) and celebrated Halloween.
We had great costumes but didn’t get to go anywhere with them because we were too busy working and missed all the parties. Sam, was Indiana Jones and attended a few parties but it wasn’t as fun as he would of liked. Poor kid he misses his siblings a lot! His parents are not as fun as he hoped.
On to Thanksgiving, it’s just around the corner. It will be a quiet one this year as the three oldest kids will not be coming home. I think we will be joining the news crew for turkey dinner.
I will be running my first 5K (The Turkey Trot) on Thanksgiving day. I have been training for 7 weeks now and have two more weeks to go. I look forward to the that. I credit my wonderful friend Rebecca Ottosen who gave me a great program to follow. She’s been such inspiration to me and so encouraging. Hopefully, she’ll be running by my side the day of the race. I believe she moved to Bismarck just for me. She has been such a great friend to me and she’s so much fun! Love her, Love her, Love her!!! That’s all I can say!
We attended Sam’s CDCC concert/style show/dinner last weekend where my sweet boy had his first solo. Alan and the anchor from the competing station were the emcees for the event.
It was a wonderful evening! I think I covered everything but that’s enough right?

Celebrating Father’s Day
It was totally Alan’s day today. We decided to treat him to a movie and dinner. He really wanted to see The Karate Kid but the rest of us talked him into Toy Story 3. Before you family members start getting on my case, the only reason he wanted to see The Karate Kid was because he thought I really wanted to see it. I do but today I preferred Toy Story 3. Anywho, we cried like babies and it seemed appropriate considering Ammon is leaving for college soon. I left feeling sad about my boy heading off to college. Don’t worry though I’m excited for him too. More excited then sad.
We topped it off with dinner at the 3rd annual Ribfest. Now you have to know that I don’t do ribs and I don’t like to get my hands dirty but I bit the bullet and gave it a try. Yes, Having three guys around I can’t always be a sissy. I have to admit the ribs were good but not something I would eat on a regular basis. my poor arteries couldn’t take it! I did eat my ribs like a girl and used a fork.
We enjoyed the food, each others company and good music. Arch Alllies a band from MN performed music from REO Speedwagon, Styx and Journey. They were a really good band. We rocked out! The lead singer was quite the character! We all had a good time and tomorrow we can all relax! Happy Fathers Day to all the dads in blog land!

The Last of the Last
The last couple weeks I’ve been attending all of Ammon’s final choir activities. I’ve been good about holding back the tears and trying to keep it together. Last Sunday was his last voice recital.

Ammon is also part of the Central Dakota Children’s Choir. It’s an all city high school choir. He’s been in it for 4 years. We attended the last two performances. 
This is Ammon and his friend Kat singing their duet which earned them a star rating at state.
Sam is also in the Children’s choir but a different grade level.
Tuesday was the last concert choir concert. This year the performed songs from the group Chicago. It was outstanding and they were rockin good! I was dancing and swaying too much to be sad. 
Last Saturday was Seminary graduati on too but I have no pictures because I forgot my camera.
This past Saturday was the final Jazz Choir performance and that’s where all the kids and parents lost it.
Last night it was the award’s banquet. Ammon received many awards including The Outstanding Senior Choral Student. It’s an award voting on by his peers.
