Nothing says Christmas like band and choir concerts. Especially in our area where singing about the birth of our Savior is still acceptable. I know it’s not the case in lot of other places so, it’s something we appreciate. It certainly helps me get in the Christmas spirit.
Now, I have sat through a lot concerts over the years. Too many to count. I’ve enjoy watching my children progress in their skills. By the time they are 9th grade they are at the top of their game. Sam was outstanding playing all the different instruments in the percussion section. I love listening to him play. The entire percussion section was awesome. However, it was one of the worse 9th grade concerts I have ever been too. Alan and I kept looking at each other wondering what in the world was going on? I thought maybe I was listening to 4th graders. It was such a disappointment!
After the concert Sam asked me what I thought of the concert. Of course only his mom would tell him the truth. He said; “yep we stunk”! Apparently, a lot of the kids don’t care and don’t practice and mess around during class time. New band teacher and he has a hard time controlling the kids. Sadly, It showed!
In total contrast the choir concerts were outstanding! Sam was busy playing bells and djembe. So enjoyable to watch him really get into it!
Loved the selection of music chosen.

Pause the playlist and enjoy Sam on the djembe.
We borrowed these little guys. They are two of Sam’s biggest fans. They two of our favorite boys. Porter and Mason F. They enjoyed watching Sam perform. They were so wonderful and well behaved.
