This Christmas was bitter-sweet for us because it will be the last Christmas together as a family for the next two years. Since Ammon will be putting in his mission papers soon. He will more than likely be leaving on a mission this summer.
For that reason it was so important to bring all the kids home. I counted down the days and it was a sweet reunion!
I know it’s hard to tell but I was so excited to see my college boy come home! I’ve missed him so much!
Ammon was no sooner home then all my other sons from other mothers started showing up.
Ammon’s best friend (one of the North Dakota Bois) Devin Roll. Eric Walter, and Jon Bahr. Suddenly, my home is filled with loud and crazy noise again!!
Our circle became complete when the girls arrived a few days later. We were sad they weren’t able to stay as long but so excited to have them here. Sam was so happy to have his siblings home again! Minus having all of them tell him what to do of course! He says it’s like he has four moms around. I think he secretly likes it.
Funny, the one thing they all said when they walked in the house, was how they miss the smell of our house. Hopefully it’s a good smell!
What you have to know is that I really need a new stove. With all the money I spent on plane tickets I could of put towards a new stove. But, having my family together for Christmas is priceless! You can’t put a price on memories, joy or laughter. It really wasn’t much of a decision for me. I’d choose my kids over a new stove any day. Let the fun begin!
